Have you ever heard of meditation? or mindfulness? .... No? Well up until a few years ago neither had I. 

Meditation is the art of engaging in mental excerise. To focus, concetrate and retrain if you like, a mind that has lost control, that is in chaos, speeding down the highway at 200kms per hour.

Meditation is an opportunity for you to gain some clear insight into how your mind is performing. At first I garauntee you will have the hardest time trying to focus on.... well.... nothing. You will realise that your mind does not know how to stop, listen and relax. You will realise that you are so out of whack with your body you don't know how you have been living like this.

Mindfulness is the act of being present in the very moment, being 100% invested in what you are carrying out at that paticular time. Ever found that while you are blow drying your hair you are thinking about the shopping, the bills that need paying, the bed sheets need changing, what your going to cook for dinner, have you paid the school excursion, did you take your vitamins? And I could go on! And when you put it down on paper like that it sounds stressful doesn't it? Now think about how many times you do this in a day. Exhausting! 

Last year I had started to practice meditation more regularly but I still hadn't committed 100% until I came across Dr Elise Bialylew and her online course "Mindful In May". It was so reasonably priced I considered giving it a go. This was a huge turning point for me. I practicedmeditation every day, concentrated on being mindful. To this very day I still practice mediation daily, and on the days where I forget to be mindful, within minutes my brain refocuses and rationalises with itself and allows me to regain control over my thoughts and emotions. How good does that sound??

If you already practice and you are looking at enhacing it, then why not add in some essential oils. When I meditate I use frankincense.
